ADBKA Swarm Collectors

Before contacting a swarm collector, please read the advice page on identifying bees.

This service is offered to the community on a voluntary, goodwill basis by experienced beekeepers.  Although the members on the list below will endeavour to help if they can, Aberdeen and District Beekeepers’ Association (ADBKA) cannot guarantee that a beekeeper will be available when you require one.  Some of the beekeepers on the list are not ADBKA members.

Neither ADBKA nor the individual beekeeper accepts liability for any problems that may arise. However, members of the Scottish Beekeepers Association, are covered under the SBA’s Public Liability Insurance (up to a limit of £10m). SBA members are highlighted in the list below.

Although many beekeepers offer a free service some may feel it appropriate to charge, especially if they have to travel long distances or make several visits.  Please confirm this with the beekeeper in your initial conversation.
