The Association runs a series of lectures aimed at new or would-be beekeepers (but of interest to everybody) in early spring.

2020 Events:

Online Zoom Meeting – Friday, 11 December, 7:00-8:30

  • The Native Honey Bee – Gavin Ramsay of the Scottish Native Honeybee Society will speak to us about the native dark bee, the challenges it faces, and his society’s conservation work.
  • Association Apiary Update – apiary manager Graham Torrie on looking after the Crathes bees during lockdown.
  • 2021 ADBKA Programme – secretary Alison Goss will share some information about the Association’s plans for 2021.

We have taken the decision to cancel all Aberdeen & District Beekeepers’ events until further notice, in line with government advice.
